Hi,

I have FFXI, and I have a website. I would like to upload screenshots I take of FFXI to my server every x seconds and essentially create a "FFXI TV". What I will need to do this is one of two things I guess:
1) A way to copy HDD files from my PS2 to PC. I would then create a script to upload the files to my server. The best thing would be for there to be a way to detect the PS2 HDD on my network, since it is already set up. I've also heard of some special USB cable to transfer Memory Card files, would this work for the HDD?
2) A way to upload files directly to my server from the PS2. I could use FTP, or I have a PHP script that I could use. Is there a way to do either?

Also, if this could be done, what is the HDD directory for FFXI pics? Would it be the same as the PC version's path?

easiest way to legitimately do this, is to split a video signal
into a video camcorder or other device capable of digitazing
a video signal, such as a video capture card. Once the
signal is piped into a PC that way, frame grab every X seconds
and store it to a hard drive, mpeg-encoding along the way.

This way, you can don't have to worry about involving the PS2
hard drive, or figuring out some goofy way of doing it underr
the PS2. Seems to be the hard way of doing it.

Easiest way to split a PS2 video signal is via the guncon video
splitter, which will give another s-video+composite and stereo
audio jacks. Alternately, an AV receiver with an extra output
can split it too.

The expensive part is the digitizer. Use a digital camcorder
with s-video inputs if you got one, otherwise get a video
capture card for your PC. Since its an NTSC signal, any of
the ATI all-in-wonders should work.
