Hello i am new to playstation 2 Development and i was wondering how do you get the demos to load on the playstation 2. I have successfully gotten mrbrowns exploit to run on my playstation 2 and i have a network adaptor connected from my ps2 to my computer. I have also downloaded ps2link and ps2client. I have no idea however what to do with them (i know thats what your supposed to use to load a program on the ps2) so if anyone can help it would be greatly apprieciated. Thank you!

You have to setup ps2link to be loaded by the exploit, and you use ps2client (or pksh or inlink) to send programs to ps2link to be run on the ps2.

read the readme file, it explains how to use it.

ps2client is command line based. you don't really 'click the icon'

inlink gives you gui (i.e. click an icon) but I don't think it works correctly with newest ps2link (but I'm not sure)

AFAIK, Inink works with the latest ps2link, it just doesn't support all of ps2link's new features ATM.

Kenshin: Check the "Loaders" page on ps2dev.org to grab pksh, ps2client, and Inlink.

I have a question about Game Engines. Do i have to use a Ps2 Specific game engine such as the Havok engine (i dont know of any ps2 engines if someone could help me find one it would be greatly apprieciated) for the game to work on the ps2 ? Can I use like a PC game engine and try and find a way to make it work for the PS2 or is this impossible? Any input on this subject would be apprieciated.

You create you own engine, by the way, dont expect to create somthing like Half-Life. Right now, the unofficial SDK isn't so good, and, even if it where, it's very, very hard to even get a nice picture that you can move whith the analog control on the PS2.
And, havvok is a physic engine, not a 3d or game engine...
