The luaplayer is a program that can be run on psp's with custom firmware. With luaplayer you can program your own games and or utilities with only a text editor. The advantage with using luaplayer is it is easier to use than C or C++, the other is how quick you can code it. With C++ you have to code then compile using the devkit which can be a hassle sometimes. The disadvantage with luaplayer is its limitations to the many different functions and hardware that the PSP has. So basically Luaplayer = Faster and easy for beginners and C++ = better app's but harder to do.
