|

Apparently yellow dog linux comes with it's own type of dependency
resolver called yum and an updater called pup. Too bad it comes broken
on the YDL dvd iso and needs some changes to get it to work. But after
some edits it works like a charm.
You just need to edit and create some files.

Looks like it is a copycat of "emerge" from gentoo. Using it you can set up
your own repository for ps3 stuff related to YDL. Maybe someone can use it to
set up one for IBM's CELL SDK 2.0? So anyone can use one command to
get every dependency resolved for RPMs. In any case I used it to get vlc working. |

Great job, let's keep the momentum going and see what we can accomplish on this great system.

| You may be right. I think yum and pup were created initially for the ydl though. the y and u in yum stands for yellowdog updater |
