Homebrew video games are coming to the Playstation Portable, can Indie games be that far behind? Adventure Player will let gamers create their own adventure games for use on the PSP, according to Famitsu magazine. The game will come with PC software that will let you create data that you can then save a memory stick and plug into your PSP. The UMD game disc will then load the saved data and let you play the game.
Adventure Player will come with three adventure game scripts, including a remake of the Playstation classic Echo Night. The company hopes to make new scripts available through their site and of course you’ll be able to swap with other gamers as well. While this isn’t true indie gaming, it sure is a step in the right direction. Too bad it’s only released in Japan.
Just thought that was kinda neat. |

That is really cool! Is it something like RPG Maker? "Only released in Japan"? Who cares! If it comes with PC software, it will be cracked and translated by fans. :D I wonder how much flexibility will be given to the game designers. _________________ If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you. |
