I was wondering if anyone has looked into comparing the psp_ipl.bin and the kbooti.bin. After all we did not have the IPL in the first updates… updated… so is the kbooti.bin the IPL for ver 1.0 through 1.52?
Is there’s a chance that the IPL will have to do with encryption key-updates (some part of key passed to hardware in the IPL)?

There are few people who had the whole flash storage dumped by hardware means… did that storage contain the kbooti.bin or other IPL? (is the IPL stored in a separate location)
Was anybody been able to decrypt the v1.x IPL or the kbooti.bin?

What do you think?
