|
|
Hi All,
I have recently bought a PS3 and would like to use it for password recovery on zip (and maybe other files such as rar, pdf, office, etc).
As such, I would like to know:
1. What flavour of Linux would be best for this? Research seems to point to Fedora Core 7 with IBM Cell SDK 3.0. Is this correct?
2. What is the best open source password recovery software is available out there that can be compiled to use the 6 SPUs?
3. Where can I find resources that are relevant to this?
If any of you already has experience of this, any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. Regards,
Khalil. |

| You might check out http://www.epitech.eu/v4/perso/~bevand_m/cell-bf/cell-bf-1.tar.bz2 It is a PS3 optimiized brute force password cracke by Marc Bevand. The salt must be compiled into the program which checks passwords from 0 to 8 characters from SPACE 0x.20 to TILDE 0x7e. |
