hellooo, anyone know how to change ps2's internal model number shown in browser, (choose version, then press triangle button at the opening screen)it will show up ((CONSOLE SCPH-30001R))
in fact, i just wanna change the model number to SCPH-39001, and nothing else need to be changed, but if i need to, that shouldn't be a problem |

The model number string isn't checked at bootup. It's not used by DNAS either. It is used, however, for IEEE1394 device identification.
There is no logical reason to want to change this ID, and other than the Version screen in the browser, and IEEE1394, it is completely useless. |
