I'm not sure if I should be starting a new topic for this, since it's been touched on in other areas, but I'd like to have a discussion about the USB port, and it's ability to support a pen drive. I found this post http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=1290, and even though I'm going to eventually purchase a 1gb duo, it made me wonder if I could use any of the 14 usb drives I have sitting around until then. I'm almost certain that this is impossible for now, as I would run in to driver/software issues when attemting to access the pen drive from the psp. If I'm wrong, I'd definately love to be educated.
Also, would it be ok to assume that, if I did need an app/drivers for the pen drives, that there might be a chance of installing or updating the os using the recently hacked eboot file (only with some devs custom data)? I realize that for a pen drive, it probably wouldn't hit the top of anyones to do list, but I thought I would bring it up. |

| Oops, nevermind. Looks like they're already talking about this one over in the general discussion forum. Dont know how I missed it, but I can be an idiot from time to time, so it looks like I strike again! Mods, please close out or lock, delete, throw to the burner, or whatever the hell you do with a worthless post. If this catches anyone elses eye, the correct posting is at http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=1255. Cheers! |
