Main part made in Japan, battery in China, AC adapter in Philippines - that's my PSP.
To ensure enough PSP supply in the US, Asia version has been postponed. Guess the US version will be made in many countrys.

There never was an 'asian' version. Thats just another one of those wondering PSP rumours... There is another manufacturing faclity coming online.. but its in Japan too.

from rumors i hear, US version LCD screens will be made in China (Samsaung) while the original Japan version will have better LCDs from Sony...

to clear this last post up. sharp is making the lcds.

sony != microsoft and usualy dosent make consoles with random parts.

well, sony's ps2 went through 5 different laser units by now too, and sadly, every single of them is extremely cheap and prone to failure.
