ok, let's be more HW-oriented!
What about connecting a tiny USB scanning device like this
http://www.cpen.com/ to the PSP?
For what?
- scanning and storing text, code, stories, ideas
- searching unknown words we just saw on a paper
- funny-funny games and apps
- storing maps in case of using bigger scanners
well, you could say that the PSP does not have USB-host capabilities,
but then how is the Talkman*s mic connected to the USB port?
But if there is really no usb-hosting, could not we just directly use
the MS pins to write the scanned data directly bypassing the PSP?
Related topics to discuss
- available free dictionaries
- OCR 4 PSP
- smart text processing algors
- USB and Memory Stick communications
- other available tiny scanners, close-zooming micro-cameras, etc
let's start a brainstoming now.

Why are you using a * instead of an apostrophe (') ?
The PSP USB Port cannot be used as a USB Host, therefore what you are suggesting would not work. _________________ Proud Dvorak User

from Google:
"Sony announced a new accessory for PSP, Sony PSP Talkman (PSP-240). The Talkman is a microphone connected to the USB interface of the Sony PSP."
If the PSP can not behave as USB host now, then the question is:
How does the USB deal with analog audio input signal of some mV? |

I suggest you search the forum before asking questions that've been asked hundred times before... |
