my daughter powered off her psp during an game update when it said "don't power off unit"
It is now dead. Light comes on for a few secs and then powers off.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

If it is not a TA-082, you can use the UP mod-chip for the PSP to un-brick a PSP. Other than that, if your PSP is not under warranty, there are people who advertise on PSP sites who will un-brick your PSP for a fee (usually $75-$100).
That's about all the help you'll get here... this is just a development page. |

Lets put this in plain ole english as im not sure this guy knows what he is talking about :P
First of all take your PSP back to the retailer and get a new one.
Downgrade to firmware 1.50 by hacks
upgrade to 3.10 OE (unofficial software) if you play homebrew and w/e
I will go in a bit deeper later |

correct me if im wrong but i tought theres a UP for TA-082? |

correct me if im wrong but i tought theres a UP for TA-082? |
There's a new mod-chip coming out that is supposed to be compatible with the TA-082/86, but as far as I know, it's not out yet. |
