There is something odd happening with storing files on memory sticks ...
I have in my PSP movie folder 3 identical MP4 files called:
MPV00001.MP4, MPV00002.MP4, and MPV00004.MP4

These are the only files in the folder, and I have confirmed that they are binary indentical.

However when using the video browser on the PSP only 2 copies of the movie appear. The first one and the third one.

I suspect it's some kind of copy protection due to the magic-gate stuff.

Anyone else seen this? I'm using Linux by the way, but I can't see how that could make any difference.

PSP is case sensitive. I guess real filename of MPV00002.MP4 would include lower case alphabets.

Really? Linux seems to be stripping out all case stuff. Perhaps I am mounting it as the wrong file system.

What does the PSP require, everything in uppercase, lowercase, or what?

Some combinations work, but simply everything in uppercase would be ok.
