I and many of us are for very thankful to you and to the rest of the ps2dev team for bringing this space from all these years for free, using part of your free time.
But I ask: With the advent of free web hosting such as provided by google (google code, google sites, assembla, bitbucket and others) have you considered to host there at least the subversion repositories? I see an advantage for using the google services regarding durability in the future since I don't see the end of google any near. Is the google licensing an issue?

I second that. This has become a real unreliable place. With SVN being more offline than online, it's really hard to continue development of PS2SDK and other important projects.
I'm all in favor to moving to Bitbucket, GitHub, or whatever. It's a good opportunity to get rid of SVN and to switch to a distributed version control system like Git or Mercurial.
Btw, I already mirrored some projects at Bitbucket:
