Those who have a Sony Ericsson k750i or w800i mobile phone can double the capacity as described here:

I tried it with the Sandisk 1GB in my SE w800i and it in the past 2 weeks it works just fine. Currently it's 75% filled with mp3s.

Unfortunately it doesn't work in the PSP. It immediately prompts to reformat the card at power on. Apparently it does a "better" check.

Still I wonder how to fool the PSP. Anyone knows how the PSP senses the memcard media props?

EDIT: I was fooling myself :) Forget this, it doesn't work. Any IO beyond the 1GB limit doesn't work.
