Hi,
I wanted to make a bootable CDR of ps2link1.22 found on ps2dev.
Is the gz file missing a SYSTEM.CNF?
Also, do I need to use something like cdgenps2 to make a proper image, or would just dragging those files into cdrwin work?
Thanks!

All I did for my copy was create a system.cnf by hand and burn it under nero as mode2/xa. This will probably work for you if you have a modchip.
Give it a try, the worst you do is waste a disc. :) |

I was thinking if its necessary to add a dummy file, to reduce wear on the ps2 laser when reading the cdr (since its small, the data would be burnt close to the centre, this makes the disc spin really fast).
Also, ps2link1.2 had an nport save file for ps2link. I suppose that is for transfering ps2link to the mc, so the independence exploit can be used? |

Hi
can you please post the system.cnf file.
Mine did *not* work:
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\ps2link.ELF;1
VER = 1.10
VMODE = PAL
I also editted it via cdgenps2 and made the LBA 12231 for system.cnf
Mine booted, displayed the Playstation2 image, made the "wurrp"
sound and then went back to the browser. :?: |

The content of the file looks good but:
- file names should be uppercase on crdorm (PS2LINK.ELF in this case)
- remove spaces in front of and behind the = (BOOT=cd...., VER=1...
- and try to burn it as ooPo said - mode2/XA, filesystem ISO9960, NOT Joliet (no long filenames) in ordinary burning program |
