I'm a complete newbie when it comes to the HDD. Formatted it and created a partition using DMS3 tool.

I want to use PS2Menu - I downloaded it and there is a single file in there which is a .ELF file. What do I do now? Just burn it, or do I have to do something to it beforehand? Thanks a lot.

By the way, I have a V8 PS2 with Messiah 2 1.33B PRO

Humph! 25 minutes for bump only you waited, pretty impatient young padawan you are!

Use the source, Law! Open your mind! There are many google-chloridians within!

Beware the N00b side of the source!

Ahh ok...you got me. I do owe you.

And I do commend you on your punctualness ;)

I am assuming you want that exxecutable you just downloaded to
run and be useful. You probably need to boot the PS2 so it will run
that executable. Check out http://www.0xd6.org/ for the Independance
Exploit. You will need some other method to make use of the exploit
to copy files to a memory card. A few ways are mentioned on the
web site. Its not trivial for someone not steeped in ps2dev-land, but
its not terribly difficult either.
