It's my impression that the alsa/sound driver has problems on ps3.
i have set the driver to nonblock but it looks like the driver still sometimes locks up.
wiritei then continuously returns return code -11 and snd_pcm_wait never indicates that the driver becomes ready again.
anybody else seen this problem?
thanks. _________________ http://playstation3-homebrew-multimedia.blogspot.com/ |

I haven't seen any problems with ALSA - what had problems was pulseaudio, and the solution was to remove it. Pulse was rushed out WAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY too fast. They should have held back on including it for another year (or two) until they worked the bugs out. |

i'm getting those demsgs:
snd_ps3_verify_dma_stop: DMA ch 0 is not stopped.<6>snd_ps3_verify_dma_stop: DMA ch 0 is not stopped.
and they don't seem to be right :-) _________________ http://playstation3-homebrew-multimedia.blogspot.com/ |
