Hello,

First sorry for my low level of english. I try reply in my previous post but i see that is locked. Why?

Of course i want to buy a license. I am not looking for Warez. I am working in a company that develop PC games and we want create PS2 games. Renderware is too much expensible for us (a license cost more than 500.000 euros) so i am searching for a professional PS2 engine more cheap.

I never have develop in consoles. I saw this page and i think than somebody can help. Finally I have found a list of engines in www.3dengines.net .

Regards,

Antonio.

I'm not an administrator here but I think I can guess why the previous thread was locked.

The point to locking a thread is to keep the signal to noise ratio high. For purposes of the ps2dev Q&A forum, signal is discussion on *HOMEBREW* coding. Anything that isn't signal would be noise. Not only is Renderware never used in homebrew coding, both it and the majority of it's competion has probably never been used by the contributors to this forum. The majority of these professional tools require owning the Sony PS2 offical developers kit. Since getting the kit also involves signing a NDA (non-discloser agreement), it is unlikely that anyone that has is involved in using these professional tools is permitted to contribute to ps2dev (since it would be a violation of the NDA).

If your simply looking to make it easier to develope games on both the PC and then PS2 then you might want to consider contributing (developer time or money) to the Simple Directmedia Layer (SDL) porting project. SDL has been used in the past in for creating commerical video games but presently is not available for the PS2. But there has been discussion of an attempt port of the library to the PS2. This library is not intended to provide the full feature set of renderware or even be a "professional" tool set. But it is an on-topic homebrew project which will eventually allow games to be designed and compiled for both the PC and PS2 at the same time.
