firstly i'll say hit to everyone here, your work is very interesting.
i have a question about extracting files from a ps2 game disc.
i need to extract the FMV and CG video files from various ps2 games to my pc. is it possible to do this by simply putting the disc in the pc and copying and pasting the relevant file. i noticed that all the files are .irx and will not run with the standard programs on windows. does anyone know of a program that will either run these files or convert them so that they are watchable on my pc. If it is not possible to extract the FMV and CG by putting the disc in the pc does anyone know of another method that doesn't involve too much work. any help is much appreciated . thanks |

ludoles,
I would suggest that you post this type of message at the forums of http://www.ps2ownz.com/ &/or http://ps2newz.net/ . PS2OWNZ & PS2NEWZ are more in tune with what you want to do.
The PS2DEV forum is for programming the PS2 using homebrew software such as the libraries, compilers, utilities, et al which are avaliable at ps2dev.org.
Extracting FMV & CG video files have nothing to do with programming the PS2. |
