|
|
it's very usefull to know if the time for your code + time to display is not greater than the time we have between two vblank.
exemple:
i have a physical and logical screen, i just put the background of one in black
and the other in white just before my real loop start. the result will show a near grey screen with a little horizontal line.
the blue arrow is the full time we have "a full display".
the red show you the used time to calculate and display the moving letters.
the black right mark is just my broken psp screen ;)
in my screenshot we can see that the scrolltext routine need about 30% !! ( ouchhh !! ) ;)
with this technique i know how much time we have to make others effects, etc..
Hope it will help you. |

Sorry to see you busted your screen. Same thing happened to me... I had to return mine to Bestbuy... Thankfully they took it back, but they had no others to give me :-(
If you are slightly "mod" inclined there is an interesting site that is offering a used LCD screen for $150 US.

I know its expensive... but it is going to be hard to find another ver 1.0
If you do decide to install it, make sure to set up some sort of makeshift clean room.
Vacumn the room if you have rugs, take a shower before hand and wear clean clothes. Airconditioning would help along with an ionizer. Plastic gloves... you get the idea though. You just don't want any dust/foreign matter between your new TFT and the plastic cover. Although given your current situation, you might not care :-) _________________ SCPH-50001/N
