| I accediently left my PS2 on for 2 days, in which most of the time im preatty sure it was on standby now wen i try to put games it says its unable to read the c.d. I have also tried DVD with no luck. What is wrong??? |

| you've burnt out your laser! you can try to reset it by open up your ps2, theres a small screw which adjusts the lasers height. mabey if you move it closer to the disk it will read better bu tmy guess is its toally gone. you can buy a new one for £40 or about $50-60 there pretty easy to fit |

| Laser is probably dying, I don't think leaving the PS2 on for 2 days is what cause it though. |

No dev related comments at all.. Moved to off-topic.
And for the record, my PS2 went through over a week of constant usage, with less than 2 hours a day of rest with no problems. _________________ Shoot Pixels Not People!

| What PS2 do you have? Certain earlier slimline / ps-two models could overheat their laser chips. |
